MULTIPLE LISTING SERVICE
GNIAR's Multiple Listing Service processes over 12,000 active listings annually. Our online computer system features the latest MLS software available including online color photos and browser software to create a Windows operating environment. Listing photos are included in the low monthly user fee. Monthly active listing books and quarterly comparable books can also be obtained from the service. Free book delivery is available to most areas. We also offer one of the most sophisticated electronic lockbox services in the country at no additional charge to subscribers, which ensures the security of all your listings. Boxes for all active listings are included in the quarterly service fee. Discounts on MLS system software are continuously under investigation. Recently, we added a free open house posting service on our web site, located at www.gniar.com.  GNIAR's MLS system, @ $90.00 per quarter, is one of the lowest priced services in the region.

REAL ESTATE FORMS
GNIAR provides over 25 different real estate forms for member use.  The forms are available online when you log into www.indianarealtors.com.  These forms cover all aspects of the real estate transaction.  All forms have been reviewed and approved by legal counsel.

INTERNET MARKETING SERVICES
Active MLS listings are now also loaded on the National Association of REALTOR® Internet site at, www.realtor.com. The Times Newspaper of Northwest Indiana web site located at www.nwi.com and the Chicago Tribune site located at www.chicago.tribune.com/homes.  These additional services are included in the MLS participation fee. All active listings in the MLS are electronically uploaded onto these sites. These services allow your listings to be marketed to potential homebuyers from around the world. They are virtual live homes magazines in cyberspace. Links from agent or office home pages to each of the sites can be obtained by contacting the GNIAR.

PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS
Settle your commission disputes and other complaints with other members through GNIAR's arbitration and professional standards services. This GNIAR service allows you and your clients and customers to resolve disputes for a fraction of the cost involved in civil proceedings, which are much more costly and burdensome.

ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION SERVICE
Early in 1998 GNIAR entered into a cooperative agreement with the Northwest Indiana Better Business Bureau to provide a home buyers and sellers arbitration service. For more information on this service, contact the GNIAR Professional Standards Administrator, Laura Sallie at laura@gniar.com.

REPRESENTATION
Your membership in the GNIAR ensures that your business interests are protected at the Local, State and National level. Lobbyists for our Association are active with Northwest Indiana local governments, with state officials and members of Congress. The REALTOR® Association has a reputation as one of the foremost lobbying organizations in the country. The REALTOR® Political Action Committee (RPAC) supports candidates and causes annually that have a direct impact on real estate interests including mortgage interest deductions, property taxes and other economic development issues. Over $100,000.00 was raised locally over the past four years to support candidates and causes sympathetic to the needs of our industry.

PUBLICATIONS
GNIAR members receive useful real estate publications including NAR's REALTOR® Magazine, The Indiana REALTOR® and GNIAR's The Property Line. All these publications have information on upcoming events, industry news and features without additional subscription fees.

EDUCATION
GNIAR offers education courses on all phases of real estate either free of charge to members or at substantially reduced prices. National real estate designation courses (i.e. CCIM, CRS, ABR) and Internet training are also offered locally. There are also ongoing MLS computer-training classes for all levels of experience. Most GNIAR courses have been approved for Indiana real estate continuing education credit. Additionally, several of our CE courses feature national speakers. Courses are offered for both Indiana and Illinois CE credit. The Indiana Graduate REALTORS® Institute (GRI) is also offered annually in Northwest Indiana.

LEGAL HOTLINE
Managing brokers can avail themselves to a free legal hotline through the Indiana Association of REALTORS® by calling 1 (800) 444-LISA (5472). Get up to the minute opinions from staff attorneys on a daily basis. Please limit your questions to real estate related issues.

IAR TECHNOLOGY HELPLINE
With technology becoming an increasingly vital tool in the real estate industry, the Indiana Association of REALTORS® is offering an exclusive member service – the IAR Technology Helpline.  You can call 1-866-232-1833 any time Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm and get a real live person able to answer your technology questions – big or small.  Calls to the Technlogy Helpline are free for all IAR members.  Get answers to common operating systems such as Windows, MAC and Palm; common real estate specific software such as Top Producer, WInforms, Zipforms Lightning CMA Plus!, and many more!  All common business related programs such as MS Office Suite, Goldmine, Wordperfect, Act!;  web browsers suh as Netscape, Internet Explorer; Major webediting software including MS Frontpage and Dreamweaver, all major hardware and peripherals such as scanners, printers, PDAs, all email programs and more!

NETWORKING OPPORTUNITES
Association members have numerous opportunities to network with the other members through annual events such as the Holiday Party, RPAC Funraiser, and many others.
